Enable client-side logging

Your integration should include an option that enables detailed ATE transaction logging within the application. The logging service should be specifically for Avalara service calls; we need the complete request/response for each call made to Avalara services. The logging service doesn’t need to run all the time, as we understand the database will grow. You can configure the log to capture the last week, 30 days, custom, or have a control for the next N hours, and so on. The spirit of the requirement is to assist customers and support in troubleshooting exercises, so it needs to be retrievable by a user (or an administrator).

This task is handled through your environment back end and not directly via an AvaTax Excise API call.
