This article is about the February 2023 biweekly update to the Avalara API.

Sandbox testing window

The Avalara AvaTax release schedule includes a preview period. During this time, the latest software is available for integration testing in the AvaTax Sandbox Environment two weeks before launching to production. If your engineering team would like a sandbox account for integration testing purposes:

• Development and Solutions Partners (DSP), contact your business development manager
• Avalara customers, contact your customer account manager or open a support ticket

Fixes and improvements

AvaTax API enhancements:

• Added AutoLockOverrideDay parameter to Returns FilingRequest and FilingCalendar APIs
• Updated Swagger models and description for Item APIs
• Fixed issues with Colorado nexus names and descriptions
