1. How can developers get to this forum?

There are two ways;
i. Visit developer.avalara.com. Under 'Developer Resources' click on 'Avalara Developer Communities'. Click on 'Visit now' under the Stack Overflow section.
ii. Visit stackoverflow.com Search for #avalara.

2. What happens to the existing forum?

The existing community will remain the primary community that we support. In the Avalara Developer Community, developers can use a more granular tag besides the #avalara tag. They can also easily access documentation and other developer tools we have.

3. How should developers tag their Avalara related questions?

Use the #avalara tag on Stack Overflow when asking Avalara related questions.

4. Can developers use more than one tag?

As the forum grows and the Community Manager's reputation grows, we will create more tags that you can use.

5. How will questions in the forum be answered?

Questions can be answered by the broader developer audience. In case a question is not answered within 72hrs, the Avalara Developer Community Manager will help answer that question. The Community Manager gets notified anytime a question is tagged #avalara.

6. Will the Avalara Developer Community features like comments and announcements be disabled?

No. Everything will remain the same with the Avalara Developer Community. We are just expanding to Stack Overflow.
