Welcome to the Avalara AvaTax Account Provisioning integration guide. Account provisioning provides a solution for embedding AvaTax services as a standard feature of a partner's system.

This guide walks you through integrating AvaTax Account Provisioning into your system. The sections in this guide are divided into individual milestones in the order to be completed or reviewed while building your integration. Be sure to complete a milestone before moving on to the next.

Note

This guide is intended for partners who will provision AvaTax customer accounts as part of an Avalara-Included agreement. If you have questions about the features and functionality available through this agreement, contact your business development manager.

This guide includes a certification requirements section for you to understand what you need to accomplish to earn the Account Provisioning badge. The badge requirements are divided into 3 element types:

Required: Include this design element to become certified.
Conditional: Depending on your use case, you may need to include this design element.
Suggested: We don't require this design element, but we recommend that your UI includes it.
