# Verify that the Alcohol tax entitlement is enabled

Ensure that the Alcohol tax entitlement is active in your AvaTax account before proceeding.

Before continuing with this guide, verify that you have the Alcohol tax entitlement enabled on your account.

Steps

1.  Sign in to your AvaTax account.
2.  Select Settings > Where you collect tax.
3.  Verify that the Alcohol tax tab is available, as in the image below.

    -   If you’re a technology partner, contact your business development manager if the Alcohol tax tab isn’t available.
    -   If you’re an API client, contact your customer account manager if the Alcohol tax tab isn’t available.
