# Alcohol content

Understand how to specify the alcohol content for compliance checks in transactions.

Your integration must provide a way to specify the total percentage of alcohol by volume included in a line item. This is done using the `AlcoholContent` parameter. If this parameter isn’t provided, then the line will fail alcohol-content-related compliance checks.
