# Scheduled monitoring (Proactive)

Use scheduled monitoring to run automated reconciliation checks on a regular cadence so you can find discrepancies early and reduce filing risk.

Scheduled monitoring performs automated reconciliation checks at configured intervals to detect discrepancies early and reduce filing risk.

Reconciliation runs according to defined schedules and evaluates transaction consistency between the ERP system and AvaTax.

## Daily quick check

The daily quick check evaluates aggregate-level variance for the prior day.

The process:

-   Compares total transaction count between systems

-   Compares total tax amounts

-   Evaluates variance against configured thresholds

If the variance exceeds the threshold, the system alerts the user and offers detailed analysis. If results fall within tolerance, the system logs the outcome without further action.

## Weekly or monthly deep reconciliation

The deep reconciliation process performs a comprehensive review for a filing period.

The process:

-   Pulls all transactions for the filing period from both systems

-   Matches transactions by document code

-   Categorizes discrepancies as missing, mismatched, or status differences

-   Analyzes root causes using pattern recognition

-   Generates a reconciliation report with recommended actions

-   Notifies the user of the findings and next steps
