# About this guide

Welcome to the _AvaTax Brazil Integration Guide for Services Calculation_! This guide describes the steps you should follow to integrate AvaTax Brazil Services Calculation into your system. The sections are broken down into individual milestones in the order that they should be completed, so be sure to complete a milestone before moving on to the next.

-   For **technology partners**, each milestone includes a Certification Requirements section for you to quickly ascertain what needs to be accomplished to earn a Services Calculations badge. The badge requirements are broken down into the following types:
    -   **Mandatory**: This design element is required to become certified.
    -   **Suggested**: This design element is not required, but we recommend that your UI includes suggested elements.

Note that certification does not entail a code review from Avalara. The requirements are provided to help you create an integration that is straightforward and uncomplicated for your end-users and to help ensure that your integration is tax compliant.
