# Domain allowlisting

Learn how domain allowlisting works for ClassyVue, including environment-specific rules and how to request access for your domain.

ClassyVue validates that the host page's domain is allowlisted for the Profile ID and environment in use. If the domain isn’t allowlisted, the widget iframe will fail to load (typically shown as a browser error page inside the iframe).

-   Allow lists are **scoped per environment**. A domain allowlisted for `stage` isn’t automatically allowlisted for `prod`.

-   To request allowlisting, contact the Avalara account team with your domain and target environment.

-   When testing locally (for example, `localhost`), request allowlisting for `localhost` against your `stage` or `qa` profile.
