# MyLodgeTax notifications

Learn about MyLodgeTax notifications, including supported events and delivery methods.

MyLodgeTax supports a notification framework that allows you to stay informed when property data or configuration changes occur. Notifications are automatically triggered for key property events so partner systems can remain synchronized with MyLodgeTax.

Notifications are generated for the following events:

- **Property linked or unlinked**: A MyLodgeTax property has been linked to or unlinked from a partner property.

- **Property address saved**: A property’s address has been added or updated.

- **Property canceled**: The property has been canceled or deactivated in MyLodgeTax.

- **Ownership data updated**: Ownership details such as owner name, contact information, or tax identification have been modified.

- **Licensing data updated**: License or permit information associated with the property has been created or changed.

- **Tax rates assigned**: Tax rate information has been assigned or updated for the property.

- **Tax reporting start date changed**: The property’s tax reporting start date has been updated.

- **Property activated:** The property has been activated and is now eligible for tax reporting and filings.

MyLodgeTax supports multiple delivery mechanisms so partners can integrate notifications using the method that best fits their system architecture.

- **AWS**: Notifications are delivered through AWS services to support direct system integration.
- **Email**: Notifications are sent to designated recipients through email.
- **Amazon SNS**: Notifications are published to an Amazon Simple Notification Service topic and can be consumed by any subscribed application.

To begin receiving MyLodgeTax notifications, partners must complete the following steps:

- Review the available delivery mechanisms and determine which option best fits your system architecture.

- Contact your Avalara representative to request notification setup.

- Provide the required configuration details, such as AWS or SNS endpoints, or email recipients.

- Validate notification delivery in your environment once setup is complete.
