# Configure ECM

Learn how to configure ECM to manage customer exemptions effectively.

Now that you've created a company in AvaTax, navigate to the Exemptions page. From here, you can exempt your customers one at a time. Or, if you have a valid ECM subscription, you can sign in to ECM to manage many exemptions.

If you have existing customers, you can also use this page to request a certificate.
