# Authorize the API Documentation

Authorize the Track1099 API documentation with your bearer token.

Before you begin

Make sure you generated an API authorization token using the [Authenticate using Client ID and Client Secret](/1099-and-w-9/fzg3425520933647/ "Authenticate with the Avalara 1099 & W-9 API using a client ID and client secret when your organization uses other Avalara products.").

About this task

Authorize the Track1099 API documentation in sandbox or production.

Steps

1.  Open the API documentation in a new browser tab.
    -   Sandbox: [https://sbx.track1099.com/api\_info/docs](https://sbx.track1099.com/api_info/docs)
    -   Production: [https://www.track1099.com/api\_info/docs](https://www.track1099.com/api_info/docs)
2.  Select Authorize.
3.  Enter your API authorization token.

    The bearer token expires in 3,600 seconds (1 hour). Refresh the token before it expires.

Result

The API documentation is authorized and you can try the available endpoints.
