Welcome to the AvaTax for Marketplaces integration guide. If you're supplying sales tax calculation for your marketplace and marketplace vendors, this guide describes the steps you should follow to integrate Avalara AvaTax into your U.S. or Canadian marketplace. (Other regions aren't supported.)

We've broken down the sections into individual milestones in the order that you should complete them. Be sure to complete a milestone before moving on to the next.

Advice: If you're using an "out-of-the-box" solution for your integration, then this guide isn't necessary. Also, this guide is intended for integrations that will calculate sales tax only, not other types of tax (for example, lodging, VAT, and so on).
