# Verify that the Lodging tax entitlement is enabled

About this task

Learn how to verify if the Lodging tax entitlement is enabled in your AvaTax account.

Before you begin

Verify that you have the Lodging tax entitlement enabled on your account.

Steps

1.  Sign in to your AvaTax account.
2.  Go to Settings \> Where you collect tax.
3.  Verify that the **Lodging tax** tab is available, as in the image.

    Tip

    Some jurisdictions refer to this tax as a Hospitality tax, so you may need to enable collection in jurisdictions under the Hospitality tax type (Where you collect tax) in addition to Lodging jurisdictions. If so, then ensure that the Hospitality tab is available.

-   If you’re a technology partner, contact your business development manager if the **Lodging tax** tab isn’t available.
-   If you’re an API client, contact your customer account manager if the **Lodging tax** tab isn’t available.
