Learn how this guide helps you integrate Avalara AvaTax Brazil and meet certification requirements.

Welcome to the **AvaTax Brazil Integration Guide**! This guide describes the steps that you should follow to integrate Avalara AvaTax Brazil into your system. The sections are broken down into individual milestones in the order that they should be completed. So, be sure to complete a milestone before moving on to the next.

For technology partners, each milestone includes a Certification Requirements section for you to quickly find out what needs to be accomplished to earn an _Avalara Goods Calculation badge._ The badge requirements are broken down into the following types:

-   **Mandatory:** This design element is required to become certified.

-   **Suggested:** This design element isn’t required, but we recommend that your UI includes suggested elements.

Note that certification doesn’t entail a code review from Avalara. The requirements are provided to help you create an integration that’s straightforward and uncomplicated for your users and to help ensure that your integration is tax-compliant.
