# About the program

Understand the Avalara Brazil certification program requirements, phases, and partner responsibilities.

This document aims to clarify the processes and deliverables composed within the certification process of Avalara Brasil. We know that to support partners with their questions and needs during the development process, we need a certified and prepared connector for the Brazilian market. Some important rules and deliverables matter during the project. Considering openness and a better process, the Partner Launch Team presents in this documentation all the phases and milestones that the program must achieve.

2.  The partner is responsible for support customers in production and gives the maintenance of the developed connector.

3.  To present an SLA (Service Level Agreement) plan. We highly suggest partners to follow the same SLA that Avalara applies in our operation. [SLA](https://www.avalara.com/content/dam/avalara/public/documents/partner/SLA_EN.png)

4.  The partner is responsible for providing training and a guide to support customers.

5.  You can certify the partner at any time. However, you only consider the partner launched to the market after one customer uses the connector in production.

6.  We stress that our partners must follow the General Data Protection Law (LGPD, Law No. 13,709). They must not disclose or expose customers' data.
