# Verify that you have the Consumer Use entitlement

Learn how to confirm if the Consumer Use entitlement is enabled on your account.

Verify that you have the Consumer Use entitlement enabled on your account. To do this, sign in to the Avalara Portal and go to the Settings dropdown. Under the AvaTax heading, check that the Consumer use settings option is available.

-   If you're a technology partner, contact your business development manager if you don't see this option.

-   If you're an API client, contact your account manager if you don't see this option.
