# Configure your account

To use [AvaTax](https://admin.avalara.com), you must configure a company and set up a tax profile. Without tax profiles, all test transactions will result in a $0.00 tax calculation.

To continue with this integration, let’s set up a test company right now, similar to the way a merchant would. This will be a standard setup for a company with a US address.
